Kelly Friedlander(President) joined the Board in September 2014. She serves as Director of Strategic Innovation and Assessment at Prison Fellowship, where she is responsible for the assessment of all programs within the ministry portfolio against key performance metrics. She has 20 years of marketing and strategic planning experience, and has led teams for both Discovery Communications and Morningstar. Prior to joining the Board, Kelly was a “church champ,” leading her church’s partnership with WFCM and organizing activities to support the ministry. Kelly earned her Bachelor of Arts degree from St. Norbert College and lives in Oak Hill with her husband, stepson and five dogs.
Scott Krause (Vice President)joined the Board in August 2013. He currently works as a Director with Cisco Systems, Inc. Scott retired as a Command Pilot from the Air Force in 2007, served as the Department of Homeland Security’s Chief of Staff for Management from 2007-2009, and worked as a Director and consultant with PricewaterhouseCoopers from 2009-2013. He earned a Bachelors degree from the US Air Force Academy and an MBA from the University of Phoenix. Scott has served as a church volunteer in several capacities, and currently leads a welcome team and is a member of DC Metro Church. He and his wife Pam have two daughters, Rachel and Karissa.
Dan Reyes (Treasurer) joined the Board in February 2014. Currently working at CSC as a Systems Manager, Dan has over 35 years experience in various management positions including accounting, marketing, and sales operations. Active in his Church, he also delivers a monthly message to a local assisted living home for those who can’t make it to church. He has volunteered for the Katherine K. Hanley Shelter and for Rebuilding Together. Married for 35 years to Cindy, they have two grown children who also live in the area.
Susan Cady (Secretary) joined the Board in April 2014. Currently working for BAE Systems as the Enterprise Asset & Configuration Manager, Susan has over 40 years experience in various IT and business management positions. Susan has been active at Church of the Ascension for 18 years and was very active Prince of Glory church in Minneapolis, Minnesota before that. Susan has been the associate director for her church’s summer camp for 17 years. Married for 33 years to Paul, they have a son in the Air Force currently stationed in Alabama, a son living in Florida and a married daughter who lives in the area with her husband and child.
John Guevara joined the Board in October 2013. He is currently a Professional Services Manager for AT&T Consulting Solutions, Inc. John serves at the Pentagon as the program manager for all network lifecycle management. He holds certifications in project management and network security. John has been actively involved in his community serving as a board member on the PTA and HOA, serving as scout leader, coach for various sports, and Sunday School teacher. John also served in the Army Signal Corps for almost 15 years. He is a graduate of the George Washington University and holds a degree in Political Science. John has been married to his high school sweetheart, Marilyn, for 19 years and has two boys.
Jesse Pirocchi Jesse became a believer as a teenager, when a friend challenged him to put his faith in Jesus alone, not good deeds, to guarantee salvation. After earning a degree in mathematics from Bucknell University, Jesse worked in information technology for almost 30 years. Jesse and his family became part of Chantilly Bible Church in 1992, and he joined CBC’s staff as the church’s administrator in 2006. He oversees the church’s policies, finances, building, human resources, communications and information technology. He also shepherds CBC’s strong partnership with WFCM. Jesse is from the Philadelphia area and is married to the girl of his dreams. His wife, Becky, grew up in the DC area.The Pirocchis have three adult children and two lively terriers.
